What is a network and how do I know which network to send over?
Updated over a week ago

The network is the blockchain technology behind a cryptocurrency. When sending and receiving cryptocurrency, it is important that this is done over the right network, because otherwise the coins might be lost. When verifying an external wallet or if you want to deposit cryptocurrency on Coinmerce, you see an indication of which network to use.

Most external parties also indicate which network they use. Some parties offer the choice to choose from several different networks, make sure you choose the right network otherwise the transaction will not arrive. Coinmerce uses the native(original) network of the respective cryptocurrency in most cases. Commonly used networks include ERC20, TRC20 and BEP20(Smart Chain) not to be confused with BEP2(Beacon chain).
