Would you like to transfer cryptocurrencies that you hold in an external wallet or with another provider to Coinmerce? You can do this easily and securely in the Coinmerce app. In this article, we explain step by step how the deposit process works and what you need to bear in mind.

Ways to deposit
There are three ways to access the deposit screen for a specific coin:
Via the general button: Tap the blue ‘Deposit’ button below your portfolio chart.
Via the Coins overview: Find the coin in the overview, tap it and scroll down to the ‘Deposit’ button.
Via your Wallet: Tap the three dots next to the specific coin in your wallet overview.
Step 1: Open the deposit menu
When you are logged into the Coinmerce app, you will be on your “Wallet” page. Below your portfolio chart, you will see four round blue buttons. Tap the “Deposit” button.
Step 2: Select “Deposit crypto”
A menu will appear. Select the “Deposit crypto” option here. On the next screen, tap “Deposit crypto” again to confirm that you wish to transfer your digital assets.
Step 3: Select the cryptocurrency
You will now see an overview of all available cryptocurrencies.
Tap the coin you wish to deposit (e.g. Bitcoin or Solana). If necessary, use the search bar at the top to find your coin directly.
Step 4: Accept security instructions
Before you see the address, the app displays crucial security instructions. Read these carefully.
Network: Always use the correct network (e.g. the Bitcoin network for Bitcoin). If you use the wrong network, your coins will be lost.
Memo/Tag: If a coin (such as XRP) displays a ‘Tag’ or ‘Memo’, you must also enter this when sending, otherwise the coins will not arrive.
Tap the blue ‘Understood’ button to continue.
Step 5: Copy address and send
You will now see your unique address and a QR code.
Copy: Tap the copy icon next to the address to copy it to your clipboard.
Or
Scan: Scan the QR code using your external wallet app.
Paste the address into your external wallet, check the network and the minimum amount, and confirm the transfer. Once the blockchain has processed the transaction, you will see the coins in your Coinmerce account. Tap ‘Done’ to close the screen.
