Do you want to link a new bank account number to your Coinmerce account? For security reasons, every new IBAN must first be verified via a small payment of €0.01. In this article, we explain step-by-step how to arrange this easily via the app.
Step 1: Go to your account settings Open the Coinmerce app and tap the 'Account' button in the bottom right of the navigation bar.
Tap the 'Profile' option at the top of the menu.
Step 2: Open the verification section In the profile screen, you will see two tabs at the top. Tap the right tab: 'Verification'.
Step 3: Start the IBAN change Scroll down to the bank details section. Tap the large blue button 'Change IBAN'.
Step 4: Choose your verification method You can now choose between two methods to verify your new account under the 'Payment method' heading:
iDEAL: The fastest way. You will be redirected straight to your bank app.
SEPA: A manual transfer. You will see the payment details to perform the transfer yourself.
Step 5: Complete the €0.01 payment Depending on your choice, follow the instructions on the screen:
iDEAL: Select your bank under 'Select your bank' and tap 'Continue' to complete the payment.
SEPA: You will see the details for the "Stichting Coinmerce Vault". Copy the IBAN and the 'Reference code'. Transfer exactly €0.01 from your new account.
Step 6: Processing and verification Once Coinmerce has received the payment, your new IBAN will be automatically checked and linked to your account.
iDEAL: Usually processed within a few minutes.
SEPA: This can take 1 to 3 business days for the bank to process.
Important: Ensure the name on the bank account exactly matches the name on your Coinmerce account. Payments from an account not in your name (such as a business account) cannot be accepted.
