Would you like to deposit euros into your Coinmerce account to buy cryptocurrency? In the Coinmerce app, you can easily do this via iDEAL or a manual bank transfer (SEPA). In this article, we explain step by step how this works.
Step 1: Open the deposit menu
Open the app and tap the central blue button with the two arrows in the navigation bar. A menu will appear; tap the ‘Deposit’ option.
Step 2: Select Deposit Euro
You will now be given the choice between euros or crypto. Tap ‘Deposit Euro’.
Step 3: Enter the amount
Under “Amount”, enter the amount you wish to deposit. You can also use the handy quick buttons (such as €50 or €100). Tap the blue “Done” button at the bottom.

Step 4: Choose your payment method
Under “Choose method”, select how you wish to pay:
iDEAL: The payment is processed immediately (Instant).
SEPA: A manual bank transfer that usually takes 1–2 working days.
Step 5: Confirm your registered bank account
An important message will appear on the “Payment” screen.
You must confirm that you are making the payment only using the registered IBAN linked to your account.
Tick the box next to “I understand”.
Tap the blue “Continue” button.
Step 6: Complete the deposit
For iDEAL: Check the summary. Note the “Payment method fee”. Tap the large blue “Confirm and deposit” button to go to your own banking app and complete the payment.
For SEPA: You will now see Coinmerce’s bank details. Use the copy icons to copy the ‘IBAN’ and the unique ‘Reference code’ to your own banking environment for the manual transfer. Tap ‘Done’ once you have copied the details.
As soon as we have received the payment, the amount will be credited immediately to your “Euro balance”. You can use this balance straight away to purchase cryptocurrency.
