1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Coinmerce uses cookies and similar technologies on coinmerce.io. It tells you what they are, which ones we use, why we use them, and how you stay in control.
Coinmerce is a crypto asset service provider registered and supervised in the Netherlands under MiCAR. We handle personal data in line with the GDPR, the Dutch Telecommunications Act and the ePrivacy rules. More detail on how we process personal data is in our Privacy Statement.
2. What are cookies
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, IndexedDB and tracking pixels, work in the same way and are covered by this policy. Together we call them "cookies".
Cookies can be:
Session cookies, which disappear when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies, which stay on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
First party cookies, which we set ourselves.
Third party cookies, which are set by another company whose service we use.
3. Your consent
Strictly necessary cookies are placed without your consent, because the website cannot work safely without them. All other cookies are placed only after you give consent through our cookie banner. We use Cookiebot by Usercentrics as our consent management platform, and your choices are passed on to Google services through Google Consent Mode.
You can say yes or no per category, and you can change your mind at any time (see section 7). Refusing optional cookies does not limit your access to Coinmerce.

5. Why we use these cookies
Security and compliance. Keeping accounts and assets safe, preventing fraud and meeting our regulatory duties.
Functionality. Making the platform and support chat work the way you expect.
Improvement. Understanding which pages and features are used, so we can make them better.
Marketing. Measuring campaign performance and showing Coinmerce ads to people who may be interested.
We do not sell personal data obtained through cookies.
6. Third parties and transfers outside the EU
Several cookies are set by third parties such as Google, Meta, TikTok, X, Reddit, Cloudflare, Intercom and Braze. These parties act under their own privacy policies, and in some cases as our processor.
Some of them process data in countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States and the United Kingdom. Where this happens we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request more information about the safeguards we use via the contact details in section 10.
7. Managing your cookie settings
In our banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page of coinmerce.io. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before.
In your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking necessary cookies can stop parts of Coinmerce from working, such as logging in.
On advertising platforms. You can manage personalised ads directly with the providers, for example in your Google, Meta, TikTok, X and Reddit ad settings, or via youronlinechoices.eu.
8. Retention
Session cookies are removed when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for the period shown in the tables, with a maximum of 2 years. Your consent choice is stored for 1 year, after which we ask again.
9. Changes to this policy
We scan our website regularly and update this policy when cookies or services change. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will inform you through the website.
