Staking is the crypto way of putting your money to work. Staking cryptocurrencies can be seen as locking your coins. On the coins that are staked you receive a reward. As a reward you get more of the coin for which you have activated Staking, thus creating a compound interest effect. Not every cryptocurrency is available, only so-called Proof of Stake coins.
